About me

Dear Student, welcome! You have picked a great school and interesting area to live in and pursue your educational goals. My family and I look forward to meeting you and supporting you during this exciting time in your life. I am a native of Washington DC, and have worked over 30 years with the federal government in the international development area. My work has allowed me to travel internationally to over 25 countries in Africa, middle east, and Latin America. I have managed fellowships and internships as part of my professional life so know what it involved in supporting this kind of effort. It is very rewarding to be able to support your learning in this way. On a personal note, I have two daughters (who don't live at home) and a grandson who visit often. I am retiring soon and hoping to pursue more of my hobbies like volunteering, working out, painting and gardening.
