About me

Welcome to your home away from home in the big city of Los Angeles. We are close to the beach ( Venice and Santa Monica Pier), LAX, shopping malls, and Hollywood. We are looking forward to not only being your host family but building a last relationship that will carry onto your next journey in life once you leave us. Our goal is to not only provide a family environment but to help those who have never lived away from home learn independent skills and build confidence to help your transition into adulthood, education, career and much more. We are a family of four myself who is a social worker who works from home. I enjoy working out daily, playing board games, listening to music outside and inviting family and friends over to celebrate holidays and special events. My eldest son is 14 and is in middle school. He likes reading, playing soccer, science, astronomy, video games and water parks. My 5 year old is the Jr host who builds the best relationship with all of our students. He is in Elementary School, he loves playing outside in the yard, sports, hugs and soccer. Lastly, Mama Joy or Grandma Joy she enjoys preparing home cooked meals from around the world, taking to the students about life and providing her elder wisdom and motherly love. We are a close family who enjoys having positive people around us.
