About me

I am excited about the possibility of providing a welcoming “home away from home” for a student—helping them immerse themselves in American culture and, most importantly, sharing our faith and the love of Christ with them. Here is a little about my household and background: Location: I live in Arcadia, just 15–20 minutes from the school. Family: I am a proud Maranatha parent. My son graduated from Maranatha High School and is currently serving in the U.S. Air Force. Motivation: We love meeting new people and hope to create a supportive environment where a student can thrive both academically and spiritually. We strive to provide a safe, caring, and welcoming home where students can feel comfortable, grow in their studies and faith, and make lasting memories during their time in the U.S. For safety, comfort, and a more personalized living experience, we host only one female student at a time. I do have a sensitivity to strong food smells, especially curry, so I kindly ask students to avoid cooking these types of dishes at home. I appreciate your understanding.
