About me

We are so excited to meet you. We know traveling and staying with strangers can be a little nerve racking but do know we are not strangers we are family. We have a large home full of many young children. Meet the "McJohnlins" where McLaughlins and Johnsons combine. We are a blended family with five daughters and two sons. Our children are homeschooled and range from the ages of 10-17. I, Mama Crystal, have a BA in Business Administration and am currently in school to get a Masters in Clinical Mental Health. Along with homeschooling I work with High Functioning Autistic students. Dr. Brock (House dad) is a Chiropractor who practices functional Neurology. We run a private practice called Neuropractic Rehab and Wellness in Garden Grove Ca. We attend church on Sundays as a family and enjoy all things California. We love life and we love people. Our children love reading, drawing, music, video games and being outside. We have a beautiful swimming pool for those who can swim. We have a guinea pig who lives outside and a fish. No cats and no dogs. We have two bedrooms for students with two beds in each room. This will be our fourth summer hosting students. We have hosted students from Taiwan, China and Korea. We are looking forward to meeting you very soon.
